Senior Energy Engineer – Hybrid / National Travel

We’re working with a leading energy consultancy delivering practical, data-driven solutions to help organisations reduce energy use and carbon emissions. With a strong track record of nationwide projects across commercial, industrial, and warehousing sectors, the business provides a collaborative and innovative platform for professional growth.

They’re looking to appoint a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy audits, feasibility studies, and decarbonisation projects, providing clients with practical guidance on reducing energy use and improving building performance. You’ll work directly with clients and external contractors to calculate and recommend energy-saving solutions, including heat pumps, renewables, and HVAC upgrades, helping projects align with sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Energy Engineer
• Lead detailed building energy audits and feasibility studies
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions
• Provide technical guidance on energy-saving solutions and decarbonisation strategies
• Deliver ESOS assessments and other compliance audits in line with UK standards
• Liaise directly with clients and contractors to present findings and recommendations
• Support project delivery by ensuring technical solutions are practical and implementable

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in energy engineering, energy audits, or decarbonisation projects. You’ll be comfortable engaging with clients, interpreting building systems, and translating technical analysis into clear recommendations. Experience with heat pumps, renewables, and financial modelling for energy projects is highly desirable.
