BMS Project Sales Engineer  North (Field Based)

We’re partnered with a leading BMS and energy solutions specialist delivering retrofit and new-build projects across commercial buildings throughout the UK. With a strong pipeline of project-led work and continued expansion across multiple regions, the business is now looking to strengthen its Project Sales capability across the North.

The Northern sales team is currently growing from 5 to 7 as part of a wider expansion across the business.

 

The Role  BMS Project Sales Engineer

Operating in a field-based capacity, you’ll be responsible for managing BMS project sales opportunities end-to-end, from initial engagement through to project handover.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full sales lifecycle across BMS retrofit and project opportunities, ensuring a structured and proactive approach to pipeline development.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with End Users, M&E Contractors, and Consultants across the region.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities while also growing and developing existing accounts.
  • Working closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from sale through to project delivery.
  • Providing tailored solutions aligned to client requirements, project specifications, and commercial objectives.
  • Handling a broad range of project values, typically from smaller works through to projects up to £2M.

 

Ideal Candidate:

You’ll come from a BMS or wider Building Services background with a proven track record in project-based sales. You’ll be comfortable operating in a client-facing, external role and able to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups. A strong commercial mindset is key, alongside the ability to manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to close.

Candidates with a Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineer, Sales Manager or wider engineering background within BMS or Building Services will also be considered, particularly where this has transitioned into a client-facing or commercial role.

Experience working within a competitor or similar BMS-focused organisation would be advantageous, particularly where you’ve built up a strong network across the region.

 

Package:

  • Salary: £52,500 to £65,000
  • Uncapped bonus (OTE £30K+)
  • High-spec electric company car
