Project Director – Major MEP Project (£20M+)

We’re partnered with a leading M&E Contractor delivering technically complex schemes across Defence, Life Sciences and Commercial sectors. With individual projects valued upwards of £20M, they’re now looking to appoint a Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship office and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bristol.

The Role

As Project Director, you’ll take overall responsibility for a £20M+ MEP package, leading the full lifecycle of the project from planning through to delivery and client handover. You’ll provide strategic oversight, technical direction, and commercial leadership, ensuring programme, quality and financial targets are consistently achieved.

Managing a team of Project Managers, Engineers and support staff, you’ll act as the senior figurehead on site, liaising with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure every aspect of the project is delivered to the highest standard.

• £95,000 – £110,000 Base Salary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the MEP scope of a £20M+ office and manufacturing facility.
• Oversee planning, procurement, subcontractor management and delivery.
• Manage and mentor Project Managers, Engineers and wider teams.
• Ensure compliance with all technical, safety and quality standards.
• Drive commercial performance, risk management and cost control.
• Provide structured reporting and strategic input to senior leadership.
• Act as senior liaison with clients, consultants and stakeholders.

About You

• Proven track record in Senior Project Management or as a Project Director delivering major MEP projects (£20M+).
• Strong leadership skills, able to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent commercial acumen and experience managing complex contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies and UK regulations.
• Eligible for full security vetting and NDA clearance.
