Mechanical Project Manager – Mallusk

We’re working with a leading specialist in offsite-fabricated plant rooms and energy centre solutions, delivering high-quality MEP installations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. With over 20 years of experience, the business operates from a central head office and fully-equipped fabrication facility in Mallusk, providing a strong platform for delivering bespoke mechanical solutions.

They’re looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the installation of pre-packaged plant rooms, managing subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards. Projects typically value a few million each, and you’ll be working directly from the Mallusk site to coordinate teams, review technical designs, and ensure smooth installation.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Project Manager
• Oversee the installation of offsite-fabricated plant rooms and energy centres
• Manage a team of subcontractors on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery
• Interpret and review mechanical designs and BIM drawings, providing technical guidance to the team
• Support commissioning, quality checks, and handover processes
• Liaise with internal design and operations teams to ensure projects run smoothly

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, with experience in plant room or energy centre installations. A plumbing background is also desirable, provided you can interpret and manage mechanical designs. Experience reviewing BIM drawings from a technical perspective is essential, and you’ll need previous experience managing a team of subcontractors.
