Internal Applications Engineer – Remote (with occasional travel)

We’re partnered with a specialist manufacturer of precision HVAC solutions delivering high-performance chillers, heat pumps, and close-control AC systems to projects across the data centre and commercial sectors. With strong growth and a healthy order book, the business is expanding its technical team and now seeks an Internal Applications Engineer to support accurate equipment selections, quotations, and day-to-day client liaison.

Reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager, you’ll work closely with customers, the factory, and the wider technical  team to ensure every project receives the right solution first time. This is a key role within a close-knit team, offering genuine progression opportunities as the business continues to scale – including the chance to move into a technical sales position further down the line.

Key Responsibilities – Applications Engineer

• Prepare equipment selections and detailed quotations for a wide range of HVAC projects
• Liaise with clients, the factory, and suppliers to ensure all proposals are technically compliant and aligned with customer requirements
• Review client selections, ensuring suitability and highlighting any required adjustments
• Provide reporting, documentation, and internal technical support across the team

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of HVAC systems. Whether from chillers, heat pumps, or close-control air conditioning – with the confidence to engage directly with customers and factory partners. You’ll be organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple quotations at pace, maintaining accuracy and clear communication.

Package

• Up to £50K (DOE)
• Mainly remote role with occasional travel
