We’re working in partnership with a multi-national M&E Decarbonisation and Data-Centre specialist who collaborate with councils, developers, and energy providers to secure grants, design, develop, and oversee the installation of sustainable heating and energy systems across both new-build and retrofit projects.

As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to appoint a Head of Building Services to oversee RIBA Stages 4 & 5, leading a high-performing technical team and ensuring every project transitions seamlessly from design through to operations.

Operating as a principal contractor with a full in-house design capability, this position will play a pivotal role in verifying detailed designs, procuring sub-contractors, and driving efficiency across major low-carbon and data-led energy projects.

This opportunity would suit a Design Manager, Senior Building Services Manager, or Operations Manager with a strong design and technical background, capable of challenging and scrutinising detailed design work while leading multidisciplinary teams through delivery.

Head of Building Services Responsibilities:

Verify and oversee RIBA Stage 4 design documentation to ensure technical accuracy and buildability.

Build and lead a Building Services Management team based in Birmingham, supporting delivery across national projects.

Ensure all key projects are programmed, coordinated, and ready for installation and operations handover.

Engage with internal Design, Commercial, and Operations teams to maintain consistency and efficiency throughout delivery.
