Building Services Manager

We’re working with a leading MEP contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Northern Ireland, from sports stadiums and hospitals to life science facilities. With a strong pipeline of healthcare and education projects valued between £40M and £60M, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. To support this, they’re looking to appoint a Building Services Manager to lead the day-to-day running of their M&E department and support delivery across major projects.

Building Services Manager – Belfast

We’re working with a leading MEP contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Northern Ireland, from sports stadiums and hospitals to life science facilities. With a strong pipeline of healthcare and education projects valued between £40M and £60M, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. To support this, they’re looking to appoint a Building Services Manager to lead the day-to-day running of their M&E department and support delivery across major projects.

 

You’ll manage and coordinate the mechanical and electrical teams, resolving technical issues, supporting commissioning, and ensuring projects stay on track. This hands-on role includes responsibility for one or two key projects at a time, as well as liaising with site teams, pre-construction staff, and subcontractors to maintain smooth delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities – Building Services Manager
• Oversee the MEP department, providing technical guidance and managing staff across multiple projects
• Manage day-to-day operational issues, ensuring smooth delivery and resolving on-site challenges
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site managers to maintain programme, quality, and compliance
• Support commissioning, project delivery, and optimisation of workflows across large-scale MEP projects

 

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have well-established experience in MEP services, with a strong background in managing teams and complex projects. You’ll be calm under pressure, highly organised, and capable of handling both strategic oversight and day-to-day problem-solving. Experience with BIM, design coordination, and contracting or installation management is desirable.

 

Package
• £65K–£80K DOE

• Split between Belfast office and site
• Exposure to high-value projects across multiple sectors
