Building Services Engineer / Project Coordinator – Northern Ireland

We’re working with a well‑established contractor delivering building and infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland and the wider UK & Ireland. The business has a proven track record of delivering high quality projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, residential and commercial development.

As part of continued growth within their Building division, they’re looking to appoint a Building Services Engineer / Project Coordinator to work alongside the Building Services Manager. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from tender support and commercial coordination to design development, operational activities and handover procedures, making it ideal for someone keen to play an active role in both office and site phases.

Key Responsibilities – Building Services Engineer / Project Coordinator

• Support M&E input at tender stage, including preparation of technical submittals, subcontractor quotation reviews, and presentation support
• Assist with commercial management, including variation recording, valuation reviews and liaison with the commercial team
• Contribute to design development by reviewing M&E drawings, briefing and coordinating with consultants, and attending design team meetings
• Organise and chair technical services meetings with subcontractors to monitor installation quality and compliance with building regulations
• Support commissioning and handover through inspection of certification, preparation of O&M information, and client demonstrations

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in building services or M&E coordination within the construction industry, with strong organisation, communication and commercial awareness. You will be comfortable working across multiple disciplines, supporting technical review, design coordination and project delivery documentation. Effective stakeholder engagement and a team oriented approach are key to success.
