The role:
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take full ownership of multiple high-end residential projects from concept to installation. You’ll be responsible for every detail, from client presentations and design development to FF&E sourcing and construction oversight. You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with vendors, and ensure flawless execution at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client meetings and design ideation sessions, focusing on FF&E and interior finishes.
- Develop detailed floor plans, layouts, and comprehensive documentation for furniture, fixtures, and finishes.
- Source, specify, and manage procurement of FF&E, materials, and custom furnishings, ensuring timely delivery and flawless installation.
- Collaborate with fabricators and artisans to develop custom furniture and bespoke design elements.
- Prepare compelling design presentations, proposals, and material boards for clients.
- Coordinate and lead client and site meetings, ensuring design intent is executed to the highest standard.
- Mentor and manage a small team of designers, fostering creativity and professional growth.
- Maintain organised project files and manage daily client communications with precision.
- Work closely with studio leadership to report on project progress, schedules, and budgets.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 8–10+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design.
- Impeccable FF&E knowledge and sourcing expertise.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Studio Designer.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret vendor and coordination drawings.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of construction methods and experience in construction administration.
