A distinguished New York-based architecture and design firm, renowned for designing innovative, modern residences with sculptural forms, refined detailing, and a thoughtful interplay of space and light, is seeking Intermediate Architects. The firm’s work seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary expression, creating highly personalized environments that reflect each client’s unique vision.
The Intermediate Architect will play a pivotal role throughout all phases of the architectural process, from conceptual design through construction completion. This position encompasses technical planning, detailed design development, and the production of high-quality project documentation, ensuring that all deliverables meet project requirements, regulatory codes, and permitting standards.
Responsibilities include producing architectural drawings and project materials, collaborating closely with project teams, consultants, and contractors, attending jobsite meetings, issuing supplemental instructions, responding to requests for information, and preparing materials, drawings, and models for client and agency presentations to support both design communication and project approvals.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of professional experience, with a background in high-end residential projects in New York and the Hamptons considered a strong advantage. A passion for design and meticulous attention to detail are essential, along with exceptional production skills. Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is required, while familiarity with Lumion and SketchUp is a plus. The role requires a proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple projects independently, anticipate project needs, facilitate decision-making, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
